Gary L. Garnand

President and CEO of Garnand Marketing, LLC

Gary has been active in the marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables since 1965. During his years of shipping point experience in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho, he has developed a commitment to excellence in customer service. During his years in the produce industry, Gary has been chairman of the Onion Division for the United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association, Certified Instructor of PMA’s Produce Academy, a member of the Idaho Growers Shippers Association, National Onion Association, and Washington Potato & Onion Association. These associations have deepened his dedication to a high standard of excellence in the produce industry.

Over the last fifteen years, Gary has led Garnand Marketing to a leadership role within the Food-service Industry. He has specialized in developing long term partnerships between the food-service industry and the many shippers he has worked with over the years. From consulting to contracting, Gary has focused Garnand Marketing towards the fast growing food-service industry.

His civic involvement include President of Rotary, President of The Chamber of Commerce, President of Southern Idaho Economic Development Committee, Adviser to Job’s Daughters, girls softball coach, member of University of Idaho College of Business Advisory Council and board member of Magic Valley Vandal Boosters.

Mark Thompson

Quality Assurance

Mark was a potato inspector for the State of Idaho for 16yrs. After 16yrs., Mark had other opportunities in his life that led him down a different path and some other business interests, that took his life in a different direction. Mark opened a landscaping business and has since, expanded into asphalt maintenance and snow removal. Mark recently started working for Garnand Marketing, LLC, as a Quality Assurance Inspector for the potatoes, which Garnand Marketing, LLC buys and sell to their customers.

Ernie Scott

Quality Assurance

Ernie’s role with Garnand Marketing is a produce inspector to provide quality assurance to our customers. Ernie brings “23” years experience as a licensed inspector with The Department of Agriculture “Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Inspection”. His career with The Department of Agriculture began in 1961 through 1963, at which time Uncle Sam required his presence.

After a 20 year stay in the Army, Ernie retired and ran a 24 hour Restaurant for four years which gave him a good look at the produce business from another side of the counter.

Ernie came back with the Department of Agriculture until his recent retirement. He is currently licensed in onions, potatoes, seed potatoes, apples, prunes, plums, peaches, apricots, cherries and asparagus.

Your product will be inspected prior to shipment to insure that it meets the quality specifications that have been developed for your program. We are excited to have Ernie as part of our team.

Corinne Mason

Co-comptroller

After working in the cosmetology field for a little over 20 years and owning her own business Corinne decided it was time for a change and went back to school. During her last year and half of school Corinne began working for Garnand Marketing, LLC. When Gary’s Mom retired Corinne took over her duties and is Gary’s Administrative Assistant and bookkeeper. Corinne has been with Garnand Marketing, LLC. now for nine years.
